Schengen visa insurance requirements

  • Must cover emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of remains.
  • Company that offers such insurance must have a representative office in Europe.
We offer several insurance plans that meet all the requirements of schengen visa, offering you one stop shop.

As soon as you make a purchase, you will get the confirmation in the email that contains the link for priting visa letter.
Or you can simply visit the Current Clients section of this web site and print the visa letter.

You will require the certificate number (provided at the end of the purchase process) and the date of birth to print the visa letter.

Visa letter printing is available around 10 to 15 minutes after the purchase of the insurance.

Cancellation of insurance
Many people buy medical insurance when applying for schengen visa not because they should buy it to protect themselves in case of unforeseen injuries, accidents or sicknesses, but simply because consulate requires it to get the visa.

We had many instances where we helped the person choose the right insurance, person bought it, we provided confirmation of coverage letter, person got visa and then immediately sent us the request for cancellation.

To reduce the possibility of this happening, insurance companies have started following strict rules. In order to cancel such insurance, insurance company will really require the proof that you did not get the visa or you are really not going after getting the visa.

Actual proof may vary depending upon your circumstances, but you may use the following tips to prove it:
  • Provide entire copy of the passport
  • Provide cancelled tickets
  • After sending the cancellation request before the effective date, call us from US after the effective date of the insurance to prove that you have indeed cancelled your trip.
Of course, once you cancel it, insurance company may also inform the consulate where you got the visa about the insurance cancellation and that may prevent you from entering schengen countries because you cancelled the insurance.
