Visitors medical insurance corrections or changes

Corrections procedure
Send an email to the with the <Certificate Number> and type of correction in the subject line.
In the email message, please mention the type of correction needed and the correct data to be used.

You will receive an email confirmation once we receive your request. Please allow 3 to 5 business days to process the request. Once the request is processed, you will receive another email confirmation. New insurance cards will be mailed only if any information on the card needs to be corrected (viz. name or coverage dates).

Name correction
(Note: Name correction is only to fix typing mistakes. It is not possible to replace the name of one person with another.)

Subject: <Certificate Number> - Name Correction
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for <Name of the Insured>.

The correct name is <Correct name>.

Could you please correct it and send me a confirmation?

Address correction
Subject: <Certificate Number> - Address Correction
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for <Name of the Insured >.

The correct address is
<Resident person's name>
<Street>
<City, State, Zip>


Could you please correct it and send me a confirmation?

Change of address
Subject: <Certificate Number> - Change of address
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for < Name of the Insured >.

We have recently moved and the new address is
<Resident person's name>

Could you please change the address and send me a confirmation?

Date of birth correction
Subject: <Certificate Number> - Date of birth correction
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for < Name of the Insured >.

By mistake, I have incorrectly entered the date of birth. The correct date of birth is <MM/DD/YYYY>.

(NOTE: If the age group changes because of the correction made to the date of birth, you may either get credit back or you may have to pay the difference.)
I authorize IMG (or MNU, Seven Corners, TIS or Global Underwriters) to charge the difference to my credit card. (Or please give me the credit for the difference in premiums.)

Could you please make the correction and send me a confirmation?

Passport number correction
Subject: <Certificate Number> - Passport number Correction
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for < Name of the Insured >.

The correct passport number is <passport number>.


Could you please correct it and send me a confirmation?

Phone number correction
Subject: <Certificate Number> - Phone number Correction
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for < Name of the Insured >.

The correct phone number is <phone number>.


Could you please correct it and send me a confirmation?

Email address correction
Subject: <Certificate Number> - Email address Correction
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for < Name of the Insured >.

The correct email address is <email address>.


Could you please correct it and send me a confirmation at the new email address?

Policy maximum change
Before the effective date, you can change the policy maximum. Simply cancel the one you currenty have and purchase new one - either Visitors to USA or Visitors outside USA.

Alternatively, you can send an email requesting the policy maximum change.

Subject: <Certificate Number> Policy maximum change
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for <Insureds Name>.

I would like to change the policy maximum to <new policy maximum>.

I authorize IMG (or MNU, Seven Corners, TIS or Global Underwriters) to charge the difference to my credit card. (Or please give me the credit for the difference in premium.)

Could you please make the change and send me the confirmation?

After the effective date, it is not possible to make any such changes to the policy.

Deductible change
Before the effective date, you can change the deductible. Simply cancel the one you currenty have and purchase new one - either Visitors to USA or Visitors outside USA.

Alternatively, you can send an email requesting the deductible change.

Subject: <Certificate Number> Deductible change
Message:
I have purchased <Certificate Number> for < Name of the Insured >.

I would like to change the deductible to <new policy maximum>.

I authorize IMG (or MNU, Seven Corners, TIS or Global Underwriters) to charge the difference to my credit card. (Or please give me the credit for the difference in premium.)

Could you please make the change and send me a confirmation?

After the effective date, it is not possible to make this type of change to the policy.

Changing from fixed coverage to comprehensive or vice versa
Before the effective date, you can change the product by canceling the one you currently have and purchase a new one - either Visitors to USA or Visitors outside USA.

After the effective date, it is not possible to make this type of change to the policy. Most of the time, someone would like to covert from fixed to comprehensive coverage when the person falls sick and they realize that need to switch to a better plan with comprehensive coverage. You have to cancel the plan that you currently have and purchase a new policy. However, when you do that, whatever problem that you already have will be considered a pre-existing condition and will not be covered in the new policy. By doing this policy change, you also lost whatever existing coverage you had in the old policy because you cancelled it. It is best to stick with the policy that you have purchased.
